...after escaping with the stolen blueprints, Doctor Chaos made his way to the ancient laboratory of the giants. He found it in ruins — many of the old golems, once created to maintain the facility, were deactivated or destroyed. Undeterred, Chaos set to work, gradually restoring the laboratory and repurposing it for his experiments.

The Archaic Laboratory in the lands of Schuttgart has undergone a quality update, introducing unique mechanics and a complete overhaul of the raid boss Doctor Chaos Kaeldor Lv. 74 battle.
The location is designed to accommodate various party compositions. The monsters outside are suited for solo players, while smaller rooms cater to smaller or incomplete groups. The main halls of the laboratory are intended for full parties. Monsters have enhanced stats and have learned to use skills during combat.
The battle with the raid boss is non-trivial. You will have to comprehend mechanics and skills to win. We wish players to study everything independently. A detailed description of the boss battle will appear after the content release.
In the 5th Masterwork season, we added a gradation of monsters by difficulty into the game:
Common monster | Ordinary monster type. |
Elite Monster | Have advanced intelligence and skill set, both attacking and strengthening surrounding monsters. They have increased attack and defence stats, resistance to various debuffs, and invulnerability to lethal attacks. |
Unique Monster | It's a stronger version of an Elite monster. Have a unique name and can be rarely found in locations. |
Raid Boss | An extremely strong monster, it is immune to a number of control abilities. |
Reworked locations in the lands of Schuttgart populated by Elite monsters and designed for groups of players of any composition and quality of equipment. A large amount of experience for killing, valuable drop/spoil and increased experience rates in a group create excellent conditions for gathering random groups to farm in the Archaic Laboratory.

No more than three Guardians can exist at a time. Respawn time is from 45 to 75 minutes.
A new device has been installed in the three large halls of the Ancient Laboratory - Chaos Transmuter .
Killing monsters in the hall increases the Transmuter's charge level, the progress is displayed in the device's title and during dialogue with it. The number of monsters required for charging may change during the season.
A fully charged Transmuter allows you to activate different modes that change the type of monsters in the room:
In addition to the standard Modes, "pirate" Protocols are available for activation. Only two can be activated simultaneously - the Resonance for strengthening characters and one of the two Protocols that weaken monsters.
You will need specific items to activate the protocols, which can be obtained by hunting monsters in the Laboratory halls or purchased from NPC Gutenhagen Collector :
Pay attention!
Special Modes are only active while the Transmuter remains charged. Once the charge level reaches zero, all Modes and Protocols will be deactivated.
To reactivate special Modes and Protocols, you must charge the Transmuter to 100%.

A mighty golem was created by the mad professor Dr. Chaos using the starstone from the Pavel Ruins. Once a member of the Black Anvil Guild, Dr. Chaos was exiled after being caught stealing the guild leader's blueprints. Filled with hatred for the guild, he now seeks revenge. When he encounters wanderers, he attacks them, believing they are envoys of the Black Anvil Guild to catch him. His ultimate goal is to enslave the world.
